Magazine Ad - CoverGirl (SPEC)
Company: CoverGirl is an American cosmetics brand.
Objective: Through a print magazine ad, persuade women to purchase the (fictional) new Covergirl TrueYou Match lipstick at local drugstores.
Copy Strategy: I crafted copy that speaks to the target audience of women ages 24-40 who regularly buy makeup at the drugstore. I wrote the copy to feel empowering for women who wear makeup to look and feel confident. This copy invokes positivity and self-confidence that comes from embracing their natural beauty while still enjoying this CG product in a subtle way. I used a fun, stylish, and promotional tone and stayed in line with CoverGirl’s brand voice of positivity and authenticity.
